SpyCruise is very pleased to welcome aboard Academy Award Winning producer (Shindler’s List) Gerald (Jerry) R. Molen. Currently, Jerry is semi-retired from the motion picture and television industry after a prodigious career spanning over 50 years.
Upon his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Jerry started his career in Hollywood working in the transportation department at Republic Studios.
His rise through the ranks to various positions in the film industry led to his ultimate achievement of being recognized as an Academy Award winning film producer for the 1993 Best Picture, Schindler’s List.
Some of his other credits include Jurassic Park, Hook, The Lost World – Jurassic Park, The Other Side of Heaven and Minority Report. (See filmography for other credits).
Currently, Mr. Molen serves as Co-Chairman of WhiteLight Media Group, a film and entertainment production company, dedicated to family entertainment. He also serves as Chairman of the National Development Council for the McLaughlin Research Institute and serves on the Media Advisory Board for the University of Montana.
He is the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Montana (2000) and an Honorary Doctor of Performing and Visual Arts from Southern Utah University (2004).
His other awards and honors include the Golden Globe, British Academy Award (BAFTA), 1994 Humanitas Prize, Christopher Award, Peoples Choice Award, Torch of Remembrance Award (Anti-Defamation League), CAMIE Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Chapman University.
He frequently speaks to students, selected groups or organizations on subjects ranging from the entertainment industry to the Holocaust.
He has been married for over 56 years to his wife Patricia. They have 2 children, 4 grand children and 5 great grand children. They reside in Bigfork, Montana.
